On the wall it reads:
Memoranda, subjugation, bankruptcy, surrender of national sovereignty, the dictatorship ended in one thousand nine hundred and seventy-three.
The little man thinks:
Bread, education, independence, justice, forty-nine years have passed. .
In 1973 the dictatorship of Georgios Papadopoulos fell, when the students rose up and occupied the Polytechnic, then the dictator ordered the tanks to invade and many were killed.
George Papadopoulos was a collaborator of the German occupation army, later became a collaborator of the American occupation army, and at the instigation of the Americans he imposed a dictatorship in Greece. The result was that as a C. I. A. agent he implemented the plans of the Americans and half of Cyprus was lost.
The slogan that was heard at the Polytechnic was "bread, education, freedom".
