But don't let the US media fool you. They always portray Republicans as dumb.
I know what you mean. But US media doesn't really fool me, I'm into German media, and they didn't really make jokes about the Reps but Bush.
But as long as the people (at least the ones who are not into US politics) around the world could watch and read about US politicians recently, they recognized: while Obama was pushing his smart phrases, Palin was talking about how she can see Russia from her state and McCain searching for Joe the Plumber in the audience ("where is he? Oh, well, you are all Joe the plumber!").
I have a differentiated view about US politicians (at least as far as it is possible for a German), and I think it's too easy to blame the Reps and praise the Democrats.
Just my two cents. I won't delete my comment below, I admit it was a joke and I didn't want to harm Palin, and yet I hope she's not the next US prez.
